Cowboy Blend: The Coffee That Earns Its Name

There's a certain kind of coffee that doesn't ask for much. No pour-over kettle, no gooseneck, no temperature-controlled brewer. Just heat, water, and grounds. Coffee the way it was made before anyone cared about extraction ratios — bold, strong, and built to fuel a long day of hard work.

That's the spirit behind our Cowboy Blend.

What Is Cowboy Coffee?

Cowboy coffee has its roots in the American West, where cattle drivers and ranch hands needed a way to brew coffee on the trail with nothing more than a fire, a pot, and a bag of grounds. No filters, no equipment — just coarse grounds boiled in water, then settled with a splash of cold water before drinking.

It's a brewing method that demands a specific kind of coffee: bold enough to stand up to the rough-and-ready process, full-bodied enough to satisfy after a long day in the saddle, and forgiving enough to taste good even when the brewing isn't precise.

Our Cowboy Blend was built around exactly those qualities.

The Cowboy Blend

Our Cowboy Blend is a dark roast built for people who want their coffee to mean something. It's bold, rich, and unapologetic — the kind of coffee that wakes you up and keeps you going, whether you're brewing it in a camp pot over an open fire or running it through your drip machine before a long day.

We built this blend to honor the cowboy coffee tradition: maximum flavor, maximum body, zero fuss. It's not delicate. It's not subtle. It's exactly what it says it is.

What It Tastes Like

  • Dark chocolate and roasted grain — deep, rich, and satisfying
  • Smoky, earthy undertones — the character of a true dark roast
  • Full, heavy body — substantial and coating, built to stand up to milk or drink straight
  • Low acidity — smooth and easy, no sharpness
  • Long, bold finish — lingers the way good coffee should

How to Brew It

The Cowboy Blend shines in any full-immersion brew method — French press, percolator, or the classic cowboy method itself. For drip, use a slightly higher dose than usual to get the full body this blend is built for.

Classic cowboy method: Add 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee per 6 oz of water to a pot. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, and let sit for 4 minutes. Add a splash of cold water to settle the grounds, then pour slowly. Drink it strong. Earn it.

Coffee That Works as Hard as You Do

The Cowboy Blend isn't for everyone. It's for the person who wants their coffee bold, their mornings no-nonsense, and their cup to taste like it means business. If that's you, this is your blend.
